Artist Statement
My work is a meditative practice in weaving together my interests in paper, painting and pattern. I explore the transformative potential of paper, starting with a sketch, and moving through the processes of painting, cutting and weaving to build intricate, dimensional pieces. With my work, I seek to find authenticity in the unexpected and warmth in the imperfect. I am inspired by daily sensory experiences, interiors, and nature. I view my work as an opportunity to breathe life into spaces, and to create little daily moments that evoke curiosity and playfulness.
